A Charging Experience

General Motors is working to provide owners of the all-electric Chevrolet Bolt EV a consistent charging experience by collaborating with some of the nation’s leading electric vehicle charging networks. With this collaboration, they expect to create a stronger electric vehicle charging network.

With the stronger network Bolt owners will be able to utilize the myChevrolet app access real-time information on available compatible charging stations. GM  expects to make charging with the collaborating companies Evgo, ChargePoint and Greenlots a more streamlined process and potentially utilize the app for charger access rather than a membership card. Earlier this year, the myChevrolet app activated the Energy Assist feature on the infotainment system on the Bolt Evs models 2017 model or newer. This new feature enables drivers to access information through the vehicles infotainment system like vehicle range, charging locations, and route planning accounting for charging stops along the way.
