On October 10, 2024, GM Energy announced the launch of the GM Energy PowerBank, a stationary energy storage system that allows electric vehicle (EV) owners to store energy from the grid or integrate with solar power equipment. The PowerBank, available in 10.6 kWh and 17.7 kWh options, can power homes during outages or help reduce electricity costs during peak demand times.
