Grateful Customer Shares Positive Experience with Wheeler Chevrolet Service Team

George and Linda Rothan were traveling from Peoria, IL to Eagle River, WI to spend a week with friends at a lake home when their trip took an unexpected turn. After a lunch stop in Portage, WI, their 2023 Chevy Traverse experienced a battery service issue and lost power, leaving them stranded on the highway.

“We contacted OnStar and AAA, who sent a tow truck driver to pick us up,” George Rothan recounted. “We reached out to a Chevy dealer in Stevens Point, but they were closing at noon. They suggested we call Wheelers in Coloma, WI. I am so glad we did.”

Mary Jo Wheeler (co-owner with brother, Daniel) extended her hours on a Saturday to assist the Rothans. “Mary Jo was there until 2 p.m. and said she would wait for us,” George continued. “When we arrived, she had a loaner car ready for us, and they took our Traverse in for repair.”

“At Wheelers, our customers are our priority and we are so glad we were able to assist George and Linda,” said Mary Jo. “When we say ‘big enough to serve you, small enough to know you’… we truly mean it!”

The service team at Wheeler Chevrolet, including Dave and Sam, worked diligently to replace the alternator. “Dave was able to find an alternator, and Sam kept me informed throughout the week. I was able to use the loaner car for our vacation and drop it off on our way back to Peoria.”
